Making Friends Through Cryptography, Open Source and Sharing
Focus Areas
Side-channel security analysis of cryptographic hardware
Development Goals
Improve the efficiency of hardware security analysis, reduce the cost of such analysis, and build an open-source platform for cryptographic hardware security analysis technology. This platform facilitates learning and communication among researchers and practitioners, enabling hardware security analysis enthusiasts at different technical levels to obtain corresponding theoretical and practical support, and jointly promoting rapid development in the field of cryptographic hardware security analysis.
Team History
Beijing Pairuiwei Technology Co., Ltd. was founded with investment from an innovation and entrepreneurship team led by Professor Wuliji of Tsinghua University, leveraging the deep expertise of the Information Security Laboratory of the School of Integrated Circuits at Tsinghua University in the field of cryptographic hardware side-channel analysis. The company brings together a team of top experts dedicated to providing comprehensive one-stop hardware security services, helping you easily tackle various security analysis challenges.
Existing Achievements
- Typical public domain security contribution: The team successfully cracked a city public transport smart card chip (black-box attack), making an outstanding contribution to public information security.
- Participation in the formulation of national chip security standards: Core members of the team served as main drafters in the development of the national standard GB/T 22186—2016 on chip security.
- High-level academic publications: Published more than 100 high-quality papers in journals such as TIFS, TVLSI, TCAD, and TC.
Social Responsibility
Core members of the team served as the General Chair of CHES 2021, the world’s top academic conference on cryptographic hardware and embedded systems, and will also serve as the General Chair of CHES 2025. The team also organized the 2017 Annual Conference of the Cryptographic Evaluation Committee of the Chinese Association for Cryptologic Research.
Team Composition
The development team consists of senior experts in the industry, each with more than 10 years of experience, and holds academic backgrounds in cryptography, information security, and microelectronics from prestigious universities at home and abroad.

As the first inventor, has been granted 18 Chinese invention patents and has published over 150 academic papers. In 2017, successfully cracked a commercially used financial IC card chip that had passed the international CC EAL4+ high-security certification — the first such case in China and one of the very few worldwide. In recent years, many research results have been published at CHES, the top international conference on cryptographic hardware, and in top information security journals such as TIFS. One of the main drafters of China’s national standard GB/T 22186-2016 for cryptographic chip security. Has significant academic influence in the international chip security field and served as the General Chair of CHES 2021.
